Swiss FIRST Class Partner Special Starting at €1,800 pp From Luxembourg (min. 2 Passengers)

Swiss First Class Review Indirektes Licht

The Star Alliance member Swiss – in cooperation with Lufthansa – is currently running a great sale on FIRST class flights departing from Luxembourg. If you book a trip for two (or more) passengers, you can travel to Africa, Asia, or South America at heavily discounted prices.

We don’t know when these destinations will open their borders for tourists again. Should you wish to rebook your flight, Lufthansa/SWISS would charge a (possibly extremely high) fare difference – so book for rather later than sooner.

Since this is a partner sale, you will have to purchase tickets for two adults in order to get the promoted price.

There’s availability until September 2022. If you intend to fly with SWISS, simply click on the blue button. Should you, however, want to fly with Lufthansa as well, then you need to click on the gray button:

Here’s a list of destinations that we found to be interesting from a price perspective (price per passenger):

€3,806 for 2 first class tickets to Nairobi

Depending on the carrier you choose to travel with, your trip will include one European layover in Zurich, Munich, or Frankfurt. Short-haul flights will be carried out in business class. From there, most connections will be nonstop.

Search & Book

According to the fare rules, you should be able to buy your tickets until November 14, 2021. But we wouldn’t recommend that you wait too long since the discounted seats could sell out any minute as there are only very few first class seats on each flight. The offer is valid for trips commencing before September 30, 2022.

The minimum stay requirement is of five nights or – alternatively – the night from Saturday to Sunday. And in most cases, you could spend up to three months at your destination of choice.

The easiest way to find your cheap tickets is to visit the Swiss’ landing page. The airline has an excellent calendar overview that makes it easy to spot availability.

We recommend that you book through the carrier’s website anyway, especially for higher-priced first class tickets.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Tickets for flights in first class will be issued in booking class A, those for business class flights in J. Both will get you a nice earning rate on most Star Alliance frequent flyer programs. Here’s what a trip to Nairobi via Zurich could get you:

In SWISS’ first class, you’ll be served excellent food in a comfortable seat that can be turned into a flat bed. Usually, the 8 first class seats are in a 1-2-1 formation, meaning that every seat has direct access to the aisle. You’ll be allowed to check in 3 pieces of luggage and bring 2 carry-ons.
