Low-cost airline Wizz Air has been flying to Middle Eastern destinations like Jordan for a while. Currently, prices to the Jordanian capital (Amman) start at only €50 from Venice and Budapest and €60 from Milan, Rome and London. If you are part of Wizz Air’s Discount Club, you’ll get €20 off your tickets.
However, these prices only include one personal item. Adding a carry-on or a 10kg checked bag would cost around €30, with the exact figure depending on the route and date. In most cases, the priority bundle including a 10kg checked bag, a cabin bag and priority boarding is only slightly more expensive (or even cheaper). If that’s not enough and you prefer 20 kg, that’ll cost around €47 in each direction.
Unless you are a citizen of the few countries that have visa-free access to Jordan, you’d need to have a visa. You can either purchase a visa-on-arrival for JOD 40 (~€53) or a Jordan Pass starting at JOD 70 (~€93).
Here is a list of possible origins:
- Venice, Italy at €50
- Milan, Italy at €60
- Rome, Italy at €60
- Budapest, Hungary at HUF 25,080 (~€64)
- London, UK at £72 (~€83)
Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 21 days. It will forward you to Wizz Air with your selected flight dates.
Wizz Air operates a fleet Airbus A320 family aircraft, with the Airbus A321neo being the most common on these routes. These planes have 40 rows with an approximate seat pitch of 28 inches. As a low-cost airline, food and drinks come at an extra cost.
Search & Book
It’s unclear how long Wizz Air will keep these prices. You can buy these tickets as one-way tickets or combine two flights to/from separate cities as there is no minimum stay.
You can use our calendar above that will show you availabilities. Once you select your dates, it will forward you to Wizz Air’s website with your preselected flight dates. In this case, we don’t recommend booking through online travel agencies (OTAs), as those charge huge amounts for add-ons and ULCCs like Wizz and Ryanair provide little support for OTA bookings. You can also search more specifically on Google Flights (instructions) for example by setting filters. You can then use our Go2 browser extension to book your flights.
Wizz Air Discount Club
Wizz Air has a pretty interesting membership programme. Don’t expect miles or statuses, but one could argue that it’s even better. For just €40 (2 persons) or €70 a year, you can get ~€10 discount per person per flight in addition to a discount on bags. An important addition is that the discount only applies to flights which cost more than €20. (Although they usually put a smaller discount on cheaper flights which will reduce the fare to €10.
Please note that Wizz Air usually sells tickets in the currency of the departure country. For these flights, they convert the savings to the local currency, which can happen at pretty and market rates.
To get a Wizz Air Discount Club (WDC) membership, you need to select the WDC price when you search for flights (see in the above gallery). After that, you will have to accept the terms and add WDC to your basket. The membership will be valid for one year after the date of the booking. This means that you can book fares with a WDC discount for one calendar year. Your trip can be after the expiration date as the booking date matters.
If you are booking a round-trip for two people or if you are flying Wizz Air at least 4 times alone, then it is definitely worth it to buy the Standard membership. If a family goes on a round trip, it will also pay off.
Hotel prices in Amman usually start at roughly €20, depending on the hotel category. Whichever category and hotel you opt for, make sure to get the best price! Our recommendation is to search on booking.com, or even on our own Travel-Dealz hotel search:
